Elyse Greenberg - Acupuncturist

People seek my services for multiple reasons including assistance in decreasing pain, coping with mental health concerns, and looking for a greater sense of spiritual connection. The results from acupuncture treatments and regular preventative visits strengthen the immune system and balance, harmonize, and integrate organ functions, making for a unified healthy person.

All expressions of life arise from the flow of energy known as Qi. Any misdirection or blockage in the quantity, flow, or balance of Qi often leads to one’s physical, emotional, or spiritual ailments, which may result in pain, dysfunction, or poor health.

Some influences that may contribute to this derangement of Qi include physical and emotional trauma, stress, accidents, poor diet, and seasonal changes. For instance, anger and frustration can create muscular tightness, headaches, and teeth grinding. Grief can create a feeling of exhaustion and fatigue.

Regular acupuncture treatments can alleviate acute or chronic pain, decrease stress, ease anxiety and depression, and diminish insomnia. Acupuncture is recommended in the treatment of arthritis, sciatica, joint pain, allergies, asthma, reflux, indigestion, irritable bowels, headache, menopause symptoms, PMS, addictions (smoking, drugs) and a host of other illnesses.

My goal is to work in partnership with you as you experience a new path to health and new possibilities for life.

Before Your Visit
Please eat a small meal before arriving for treatment. Acupuncture is not recommended if fasting. Skipping coffee for two hours before and after a treatment will optimize its effects. Also avoid heavy exertion in this time frame. Avoid alcohol or other intoxicants the day of treatment. Allow plenty of time, as rushing to or from a session reduces its effectiveness and strains the body as well. Wear comfortable, loose clothing if possible.
